BALI  RITUAL


Bali is a famous ritual in Sri Lanka. It is a  ancient ritual that passed from generation to generation by our ancestors. This ritual can be seen in Udarata, Pahatharata, Sabaragamu, Uva Kalaviya, Vanni Hathpaththuwa in Sri Lanka. It is unique in that this ritual is found in all dance traditions in our country. This pacification is done to alleviate planetary afflictions, demons and various ailments. Based on the Triple Gem, the Trinity, the planetary gods and the sin monsters are worshiped here as supernatural divisions.
In terms of the physical features of this ritual, it was mainly divided into mal bali(based on flowers and gok kola decorations), kada bali( a painting that done on a cloth), embum bali(based on clay sculpting).

In Sri Lankan Demonology this devil plays a main role. This devil is very famous, among Sri Lankans.
